Web Design and Development

Here in Week 4 we are finally getting some real structure to our HTML and we are ready to begin working on CSS. There remains, of course, a lot more to learn in HTML. We've only covered the basics. So expect that from this point forward we are going to bounce back and forth between HTML and CSS.

Soon, the structured part of class will shrink from being the whole bell to just being part of it, meaning that I will expect you to start filling the rest of the class time by building your websites and practicing coding. We have not had enough practice writing code, which is why so many of you are still confused by all this information. Trust me, the more code you write the more sense it will all make, especially if you take the time to write your code clearly and using best practices.

It is essential that you work diligently to correct every error you find (or I point out to you) in your code, as soon as it is known. Mistakes should never be left to linger, for they tend to rot out the rest of your code over time and make everything a rat's nest of frustration.
