Technical Drawing: Share Your Vision!
Technical drawing is the art of using lines to describe objects. There are a number of rules involved, many of which should have been explained to you by Mr. Bridges in STEM 1, but I will revisit them during this unit as well.
This unit will take us about three weeks and even then only those students who put forth real effort will master the skills being taught. This is like learning to ride a bicycle - you have to keep getting on that bike over and over again, day after day, until your brain finally maps out all the inputs to keep you balanced while you pedal, steer, and brake. Similarly, it takes time for your brain to map out technical drawing, because for this to work your brain has to perform 3D modeling work on the fly. Our brains are well suited for this task but we still have to train it before it happens.
