Day 06 - Orthographic Drawings
Today you want to complete orthographic drawings of your trebuchet design. Upon completion, submit your drawings to me as a team to get permission to begin building. Note that for orthographic drawings, you need a top view, front view, and right side view. You need to indicate the scale of your drawing and I need to be able to see how your sticks are connecting, what you are using as a pivot (dowel, nail, string, wire, or something else), and how you plan on releasing your sling during trebuchet operation. If possible, it would be good to also specify what you are using as a counter-weight, keeping in mind that the counter-weight must be able to swing freely down through the center of your base structure.
For building, you want to make more use of wood glue than of hot glue - the wood glue is much stronger, though it takes a lot longer to set up, so you may need to use a piece of tape to clamp your sticks together while the glue dries.
