Day 02 - Understanding Matter Cycling on Earth

Today I need you to finish yesterday's WebQuest. Then I want you to take some time and go over your 3 diagrams (carbon, nitrogen, and water cycles) and revise them based on basic design principles:

• Are there any words that can be replaced with shapes?
• Is there any way color can highlight the content and make it easier to follow?
• Is there anything that can be removed from the design without reducing its educational value?
• Is there anything that is likely to be misinterpreted by others? (for this you will have to swap papers with other students and share feedback)

Based on the answers to the above questions, refine your diagrams. Be prepared to explain to me what you changed and why you changed it. Put your completed drawings in the Bell 1 folder on the back table before leaving class today.
