Day 04 - Electric Motor Build
Yesterday you researched the components of electric motors, including concepts like magnetic fields, current, commutators, and coils. Today I am going to provide you with magnets, batteries, armature wire, and copper wire. I should have enough to provide each student with your own set of supplies. You have until the end of the bell to build a motor and get it working. Once it is running, show me so I can give you credit for your work.
If we cannot get the motors working independently, tomorrow I will talk you through the basic concepts and explain issues that tend to cause problems to help you troubleshoot your builds.
