Day 05 - Poured Candle Prototype
Last class we collected data on the melting points of the three available waxes (soy, paraffin, and palm), and today your team will select one of those three or a combination of them to create your poured wax candles. You will need to set up the double boilers and put wax into a pour-pot to melt. Then label your candle mold and set up your wick placement tool. Once your wax or wax blend is melted, pour it.
- Combustion
- any exothermic reaction in which oxygen combines with a fuel
- Covalent Bonds
- bonds formed when two atoms share at least one electron; these are the strongest molecular bonds and thus represent the most potential chemical energy
