Day 15 - Glue Up Roof

Gluing up the roof, for many students, will be trickier than the rest of the gluing that we have done, mostly because few of you have simple 45° angles to cut. You will need to spend time shaving your angles carefully to fit the pieces together. Those of you who are building gable roofs may want to add some small cross-supports so your roof does not snap apart by accident in regular handling. Those of you who are building mansard roofs need to carefully bevel all 4 edges of the center piece so that it fits with the custom beveling around the 4 framing (angled) pieces (this, by the way, is what makes the mansard roof the hardest one to build).

Whatever you do, however do not glue any part of your roof to the rest of your house. I need to be able to lift the roof off the house to assess your job cutting and gluing the interior walls.
