Day 02: Applying Periodicity

Yesterday (30 AUG 2017) we started our work on independently-focused periodic tables. You will complete that task today, but first we are going to spend a little time working through the Periodic Table of Hip-Hop I shared with you yesterday.

I need you to parse through that table to identify the rules by which the artists are clustered. What changes as you move from left to right across the table? What changes as you move from top to bottom of the table? Note that this particular periodic table is modeled closely after the Periodic Table of Elements, which means that there are chemical justifications for some of the decisions made in my table.

Then I want you to take another run at your team periodic tables. If you are stuck, you should draw upon the Engineering Design Process to get you un-stuck. Complete these by the end of the bell today.
